Burns and Scalds

Call your vet today. These steps help in the meantime; your vet should still see your dog.

What to do

  1. Cool the burn under cool running water for at least 10 minutes
  2. For chemicals, rinse for 20 minutes and wear gloves
  3. Cover loosely with cling film or a clean, damp cloth
  4. Call your vet: burns are often worse than they look

Don't

  • Put ice, butter or creams on it
  • Pop blisters
