Terms of Use
Effective 1 October 2026. Last updated 6 October 2026.
The short version
- Pawfessor teaches; you stay in charge of your dog. It is general education, not veterinary or professional advice. In an emergency, call a vet.
- Premium subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in the App Store or Google Play. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel them.
- Pawfessor is provided \"as is\". We do not promise it will be free of bugs, outages, data loss or security incidents, and keep your own records of anything important, such as vaccinations. Our liability is limited as far as the law allows (sections 17, 18 and 22).
- If you live in the United States, disputes are resolved by individual arbitration, not class actions (section 23). You can opt out within 30 days.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and RHH LLC ("RHH LLC", "Pawfessor", "we", "us" or "our"). They govern your use of the Pawfessor mobile app, this website, the trainer chat, training programs, subscriptions, content and related services (together, the "Service").
You accept these Terms when you create an account (the sign in screen says "By continuing, you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy"), buy a subscription or otherwise use the Service. If you do not agree, do not use Pawfessor.
Please read section 23 carefully. If you live in the United States, it requires disputes to be resolved by binding individual arbitration and waives class actions and jury trials, unless you opt out within 30 days.
Pawfessor is developed and operated by RHH LLC. On Google Play it is currently published through a developer account held on behalf of RHH LLC. That account holder acts for RHH LLC, and every protection these Terms give RHH LLC and its personnel also covers them.
1. What Pawfessor is
Pawfessor provides digital tools and educational content about dog training and dog ownership: training programs, lessons, commands, games, guides, first aid information, progress tracking, a health calendar, reminders and, where available, an AI trainer chat.
Pawfessor is a digital educational service. It is not a veterinary clinic, an emergency service, a professional animal behaviorist or a substitute for qualified professional advice.
2. Who can use Pawfessor
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or buy a subscription. If you are at least 13 but below that age, you may use Pawfessor only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you and is responsible for your use, including purchases. Pawfessor is not for children under 13. You may not use the Service if the law forbids you to, including under applicable sanctions.
3. Your account
Some features need an account, which you can create with Apple, Google, Facebook or email and password. Give accurate information, keep your sign in details and your phone secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are personal: do not sell, transfer or share yours.
4. Educational content only
Everything in Pawfessor is general information. Nothing in it is veterinary advice, a diagnosis, medical advice, treatment, emergency advice, a professional behavioral assessment, individual dog training services, or legal advice.
Dogs differ in health, age, size, breed, physical condition, temperament, history, training, environment and socialization, and no app can account for all of that. An exercise that suits one dog may be unsuitable or unsafe for another.
- First aid guides were reviewed by a veterinarian, but they are general guidance for the moments before you reach a vet, not a replacement for one.
- Breed information and the reminders it suggests describe tendencies of a breed, not your dog. Ask your vet what your dog needs.
- Reminders, notifications and calendar sync depend on your phone and may be delayed, silenced or missed. Do not rely on them for medication, vaccination or other health deadlines.
5. Training risks and your safety responsibilities
Working with animals involves risks that cannot be fully removed. Even well trained dogs can behave unpredictably. Risks include bites, scratches, falls, pulling, collisions, allergic reactions, escape, property damage, fights with other animals, and injury to your dog, other animals or people.
You are responsible for:
- controlling and supervising your dog, and supervising children around animals;
- choosing a safe place and suitable equipment for each exercise;
- judging whether an exercise suits your dog's health, age and fitness;
- following local laws on leashes, licensing, vaccination, noise and public spaces;
- stopping an exercise if your dog shows pain, injury, illness, extreme fear, serious distress, aggression or breathing trouble, or if continuing would be unsafe;
- getting professional help when needed.
See a qualified veterinarian or animal behavior professional if your dog has injured a person or animal, shows serious aggression, changes behavior without explanation, seems sick or injured, shows significant anxiety, has a medical condition that could affect training, or creates a substantial safety risk. In an emergency, contact a veterinarian or emergency service. Do not rely on Pawfessor in an emergency.
6. Assumption of inherent risk
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you understand that handling and training animals carries inherent risks, and you voluntarily accept the ordinary and inherent risks of interacting with your dog and carrying out training activities. RHH LLC does not control your dog, your environment, other animals, other people or how you apply the information in Pawfessor. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
7. No guarantee of results
Training results depend on many things outside our control. We do not guarantee that your dog will learn a particular behavior, that a behavior will change or disappear, that training will finish within any period, that your dog will respond like a dog shown in Pawfessor, or that completing a program will produce any particular result.
8. The AI trainer chat
Where available, the trainer chat gives automatically generated answers using technology from OpenAI. The chat is an AI: it is not a person, a certified trainer or a veterinarian, and no person reviews the answers before you see them. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, unsuitable for your situation or misunderstand your question.
Evaluate AI answers yourself before acting on them. Do not rely on the chat for emergencies, medical or veterinary decisions, serious aggression, dangerous behavior or any situation with a risk of injury. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RHH LLC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or suitability of AI answers and is not financially responsible for losses resulting from reliance on them.
Messages and answers are checked automatically for harmful content, and we may refuse or replace a reply that fails these checks. You can report an answer with Report under it; we review reports and may use them to improve the chat.
The chat has fair use limits on how many messages you can send per minute and per day. We may change the AI provider, model or limits, or pause the feature.
9. Independent trainers and other third parties
Pawfessor may link to services we do not operate, such as the independent dog trainer reached through "Talk to a dog expert", social media pages and other websites. Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms. Any session, purchase or arrangement you make with them is between you and them; RHH LLC is not a party to it and is not responsible for their services, content, advice or conduct.
10. Free access, Premium and subscriptions
10.1 Free access
When you create an account, you get full access for 3 days at no cost. No payment details are needed and nothing is charged when it ends. After that, some features require a Premium subscription. First aid guides stay free.
10.2 Plans and prices
Premium is offered as auto-renewing weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play before you confirm, in your local currency and including taxes as the store calculates them. The store's confirmation screen is the final word on what you pay.
10.3 Free trials on subscriptions
New subscribers may be offered a free trial (currently 3 days). Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged the price shown. Trial eligibility is decided by Apple or Google, usually one trial per account.
10.4 Automatic renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. If the price changes, Apple or Google will tell you in advance under their rules, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
10.5 Cancelling
Cancel at any time in your store account: on iPhone in Settings, your name, Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play, Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Uninstalling the app or deleting your Pawfessor account does not cancel a subscription.
10.6 Refunds and withdrawal
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled by them under their policies: Apple, Google Play. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves. If you live in the EEA or the UK, you have a 14 day right to withdraw from purchases of digital content; by starting a subscription you ask for Premium to begin immediately and acknowledge that this right ends once access has begun, except where the store's policy or the law gives you more. Nothing in these Terms limits refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10.7 Changes to Premium
We may change what Premium includes. If a change materially reduces what you paid for during a period you have already paid, you may ask for a refund through the store, and mandatory consumer law applies.
11. Your content
You may add content such as your dog's profile, photo, notes, health events and chat messages ("Your Content"). You keep ownership of Your Content. You confirm you have the rights needed to provide it, and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or publicity rights, contain another person's sensitive information without permission, contain malicious software, or break the law. Please do not upload photos where people can be recognised without their permission.
To run the Service, you give RHH LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, host, copy, transmit, resize, process and display Your Content only as needed to provide, secure and maintain the features you use. Your Content is private to your account; we do not publish it or show it to other users. The license ends when Your Content is deleted, subject to the limited backup periods described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without paying you or crediting you.
13. Our intellectual property and your license
Pawfessor and everything in it, including the software, training programs, lessons, text, illustrations, videos, sounds, graphics, icons, designs and branding, belongs to RHH LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, RHH LLC gives you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pawfessor for your own non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. Except where the law expressly allows it, you may not copy substantial parts of Pawfessor, resell or redistribute its content, remove copyright notices, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, or create commercial products from its content.
14. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Pawfessor unlawfully, or to harm, neglect or mistreat an animal;
- access another person's account or data without permission;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, probe for vulnerabilities without permission, or try to obtain our keys or credentials;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service, or circumvent its limits or security;
- send automated or excessive requests, scrape content, or use the Service to train or build a competing product or AI model;
- misuse the trainer chat, including trying to make it produce harmful or unrelated content or reveal its instructions;
- distribute malware, or use our infrastructure to attack anyone.
We may limit, suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to deal with abuse, security threats, fraud or violations of these Terms.
15. Third party services and platforms
Pawfessor relies on third party services, including Google Firebase, Apple, Google, Meta, RevenueCat and OpenAI, as well as app stores, hosting providers and internet providers. Their services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RHH LLC is not responsible for outages, errors, data loss, payment or subscription problems, security incidents or other failures caused mainly by systems outside our reasonable control, and such failures do not entitle you to compensation from RHH LLC.
16. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep Pawfessor running but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. We may add, change or remove features, programs and content, update the AI, change the design and change our subscription offers. Where a change affects mandatory rights for paid digital services, consumer law continues to apply.
Test versions. If you use a pre-release version of Pawfessor, for example through Apple TestFlight or a Google Play testing track, it is provided only for testing. It may contain more bugs, behave differently from the released app, lose data or stop working at any time, and it is provided without any warranty or commitment, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pawfessor is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Pawfessor will always be available or error free, that all content or AI output will be accurate, that it will meet your expectations, that any training outcome will occur, that dog behavior can be predicted, or that using Pawfessor removes the risks of handling animals. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you; nothing here excludes warranties or statutory rights the law does not allow us to exclude.
18. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, such as, where the law provides, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- RHH LLC, its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, data or use, arising from or relating to Pawfessor, however caused and on any legal theory, even if advised they were possible;
- RHH LLC is not responsible for, and will not compensate, injuries, losses, expenses or damages arising from animal behavior or training activities, including dog bites, scratches, falls, pulling, escape, aggression, fights between animals, injuries to your dog, other animals or people, damage to property, veterinary, medical or training costs, unsuitable equipment or environments, exercises done incorrectly, continuing despite signs of pain, fear, distress, aggression or illness, or relying on Pawfessor instead of professional help;
- RHH LLC is not responsible for, and will not compensate, losses arising from software bugs or errors, outages, lost, corrupted, incomplete or out of date data, missed or late reminders, notifications or calendar events, sync failures, viruses, hacking, cyberattacks, security breaches or other unauthorized access to or use of data by third parties, or the failure of any third party service Pawfessor relies on, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct;
- RHH LLC's total liability for all claims arising from or relating to Pawfessor is limited to the amount you paid for Pawfessor in the 6 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and is zero if you have not paid anything. More than one claim, incident or legal theory does not increase this limit.
These limits apply to claims in contract, warranty, negligence, tort, strict liability, statute or any other theory, and are an essential part of the bargain between you and us. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, we are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these Terms or our lack of reasonable care, and these limits apply only as far as your local law allows.
19. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless RHH LLC and its owners, members, managers, officers, employees and contractors from third party claims, losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your dog's behavior, your training activities, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms or the law. This section does not apply where your local consumer law prohibits it.
20. No personal liability of owners and personnel
To the maximum extent permitted by law, any claim relating to Pawfessor must be brought against RHH LLC as the contracting party, and not personally against any owner, member, manager, officer, employee, developer, contractor, representative or store account holder of RHH LLC. None of them takes on personal liability to users because they developed, operated, published or maintained Pawfessor. This does not affect liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.
21. Time limit for claims
To the extent permitted by law, any claim relating to Pawfessor must be started within one year after it arose; otherwise it is permanently barred.
22. Security, your data and suspension
We use reasonable measures to protect Pawfessor and its users, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, accessed or disclosed without authorization.
Pawfessor is not a backup, medical record or record keeping service. Your dog's profile, progress, health calendar, reminders, photos and chat history may be lost, become inaccurate or fail to sync because of bugs, outages, device problems, provider failures or attacks. Keep your own copy of anything important, such as vaccination and medication records, and confirm dates and doses with your veterinarian. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires it; apart from that and from liability that cannot legally be excluded, section 18 applies.
We may temporarily suspend access where reasonably necessary because of security threats, suspected account compromise, unlawful activity, fraud, serious abuse or a material breach of these Terms.
23. Dispute resolution, arbitration and class action waiver
This section applies if you live in the United States. It does not apply to consumers living in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland or anywhere else where the law does not allow such an agreement to bind consumers; they may bring claims in their local courts and use their local consumer bodies.
23.1 Talk to us first
Before starting any claim, email pawfessor.app@gmail.com with your name, your account email, a description of the problem and what you want. You and we agree to try in good faith to resolve it informally for 60 days.
23.2 Binding individual arbitration
If the dispute is not resolved, you and RHH LLC agree to resolve any dispute arising from or relating to Pawfessor or these Terms by final and binding individual arbitration, instead of in court, except as stated in 23.3. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. It may be held by video, phone or written submissions, or in person in the county where you live. Fees are paid as the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules provide, which limit the consumer's share. The arbitrator decides questions of arbitrability and may award the same individual relief a court could, but only for you individually.
23.3 Exceptions
Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies, and either of us may ask a court for an injunction to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
23.4 Class action and jury trial waiver
You and RHH LLC may bring claims against each other only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated or representative action, and both waive any right to a jury trial. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will be decided in court, not in arbitration.
23.5 Opting out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after you first accept these Terms by emailing pawfessor.app@gmail.com with the subject "Arbitration opt out", your name and your account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
23.6 Changes
If we change this section, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, and the change will not apply to a dispute we already knew about.
24. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State in which RHH LLC is organized and by applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs section 23. Any dispute not subject to arbitration will be heard in the state or federal courts serving the place where RHH LLC has its principal office, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this choice of law and courts does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of the place where you live, or your right to bring proceedings there where those laws give it to you.
25. Additional terms for the Apple App Store
If you got Pawfessor from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and RHH LLC only, not Apple. RHH LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for Pawfessor and its content.
- Your license to use Pawfessor is limited to Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where it conflicts with these Terms, these Terms prevail to the extent Apple allows.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Pawfessor.
- If Pawfessor fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Pawfessor.
- RHH LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Pawfessor or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection, privacy or similar claims, as well as any claim that Pawfessor infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
26. Additional terms for Google Play
If you got Pawfessor from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your purchase and download. Google is not responsible for Pawfessor or its content and has no obligation to support it.
27. Ending your use and deleting your account
You may stop using Pawfessor at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account) or at pawfessor.web.app/delete-account. Deletion erases your account data as described in the Privacy Policy, but does not cancel an active Apple or Google subscription; cancel it in the store.
We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, fraud, illegal conduct, security threats or legal requirements. Where the law requires notice or a chance to challenge the decision, we will give it. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 6, 7, 11 to 13, and 17 to 24) survive termination.
28. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
29. Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms waives, excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be waived under consumer protection or other applicable law. Where a provision conflicts with a mandatory legal protection, the protection applies.
30. General
- Severability: if a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest of these Terms stays in effect, except as stated in 23.4.
- No waiver: not enforcing a provision immediately does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: you may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or to an affiliate, without reducing your rights.
- Events beyond our control: we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices: we may send notices by email to your account address or in the app. You agree to receive communications electronically, and these satisfy any requirement that they be in writing.
- Export laws: you will comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws.
- Entire agreement: these Terms, the Privacy Policy and any terms shown when you buy a subscription are the entire agreement between you and RHH LLC about Pawfessor.
- Language: if these Terms are translated, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
31. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Pawfessor changes. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Pawfessor after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms where the law allows; where it requires your express agreement, the changes apply only once you give it. Changes to section 23 follow 23.6.
32. Accessibility
We want Pawfessor to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. The app follows your phone's light or dark setting, has its own text size setting (Settings, Appearance), checks its colour combinations for contrast, and labels its main buttons for screen readers such as VoiceOver and TalkBack. Some parts, such as illustrations, games, sounds and the clicker, may not be fully accessible to everyone, and we do not guarantee that every feature meets every accessibility standard.
If something in Pawfessor or on this website is hard to use because of a disability, email pawfessor.app@gmail.com. We will try to fix it or give you the information in another way within a reasonable time. This section describes our efforts and is not a warranty; it does not limit any accessibility rights you have by law.
